Striking the Balance Avoiding Over- and Under-Testing
Striking the Balance Avoiding Over- and Under-Testing
About the Session:
In this webinar, participants will review considerations when choosing assessment tools. Assessment examiners want to be efficient with their time as well as the student's time when being taken out of class for evaluation purposes. However, teams also want to ensure that a comprehensive assessment has been completed that answers the referral question. Considerations to strike this balance will be reviewed.
Learning Objectives:
- Determining steps to take prior to beginning the administration of tests to help determine the reason for referral.
- Checking in along the evaluation process to help determine whether additional testing is needed.
- Interpreting the assessment results alongside other sources of data.
